Photographing families’ journeys.

Be it tiny newborns, bouncy little children who won't sit still for five minutes, or the older generation who just want lovely, relaxed photographs of them and their loved ones. I love photographing families in a natural setting. There is something about photographing families at their favourite park or beach which really puts them at ease and allows their natural personalities and characters to shine through. Also, why have a plain white background when there are so many beautiful, natural back drops ready to be used outside? It's the perfect excuse to be outside in the fresh air exploring new locations!

I love photographing tiny babies (newborn up to when they’re walking) in their natural home setting, to ensure that their first home is documented in the photographs. Taking photographs in the home setting is much more relaxing as they are not disturbed by moving location and being plonked in an unfamiliar setting, which keeps baby at ease but also keeps the parents at ease – which will ultimately provide relaxed and natural photographs. It is also a lot less work for the new parents (no lugging that big nappy bag around!)

FAQs

Please have a read-through of my FAQs before getting in touch – I may have already answered your question!

  • I don't tend to put 'strict' time limits on my photoshoots. I know how unpredictable life can be, so I tend to spend a minimum of two hours on each photoshoot and I find that is usually enough. Newborn baby photoshoots may be a bit longer, especially if they require feeding or changing in the middle of the shoot. My main priority is ensuring that you're comfortable during the shoot, so I will have 'blocked off' that whole day in my diary for the photoshoot to ensure no one is rushing or flapping (don't worry though - I've NEVER had a photoshoot which has taken all day!)

  • Prices start from £175, please get in touch for more details :)

  • I ask for a £20 deposit which will secure the photo shoot.

  • Absolutely! As long as you give me plenty of notice (at least two hours) you can re-arrange a photoshoot.

  • Of course I will :) I love finding new places to photograph.

  • I don't expect you to be running around the house like a mad person with the hoover! The aim of my photography is to celebrate people's unique relationships, love and character. So I want to photograph your home as you usually see it. The only thing I will ask you to do is make sure there is plenty of natural light flooding in to the room - the more light the better!

  • Yes, I am fully insured with PolicyBee.
